The Cyberjaya community with their record-breaking yee sang during the Malaysia Book of Records official certificate presentation.
PROPERTY developer Setia Haruman hosted Cyberjaya’s first-ever city-wide celebration with the community in conjunction with Cyberjaya’s 20th anniversary.
Coming together for the occasion were other Cyberjaya developers Emkay Group, MCT, UEM Sunrise, Prima Properties and Tujuan Gemilang, with support from main stakeholders MDEC, Cyberview Sdn Bhd and Sepang Municipal Council.
Setia Haruman Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Wendy Li said the company aimed to create more events and activities in this “capital of creation” for the community.
With community spirit in mind, the celebration brought Cyberjaya dwellers together to toss yee sang measuring 126.08sq m. The feat that erased the previous record of 78.5sq m, earned an entry into the Malaysia Book of Records.
Feng shui consultant Datuk Joey Yap gave a talk on “Feng Shui and Business Outlook” while various activities including a lion dance, China Acrobatic Stunt Show and a magic show kept the public at the event entertained.
Setia Haruman took the opportunity to present a cheque for RM430,000 to Pulau Banding Foundation as part of the company’s ongoing annual corporate social responsibility initiative to fund its efforts in promoting research and eco-tourism through sustainable development of rainforest eco-system.
Also part of Setia Haruman’s CSR programme, the company along with co-contributors Emkay Group and Tujuan Gemilang, sponsored RM8,000 for Muhammad Rasul Zahiri in support of his participation in the Ironman 2017 and Powerman Asia 2017 programmes.
“We look forward to future collaborations in upcoming events as we work together to promote Cyberjaya as a dynamic township,” said Li.
