SIBU: Litterbugs, beware! Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has decided to increase the compound fee for littering from RM20 to RM500 with immediate effect.
SMC chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King said the move to increase the penalty was to stop people from littering, which had become very rampant of late.
