THE MANAGEMENT and workers of a gas distribution company in Batu Gajah were caught by surprise when the Perak Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) seized 8,144kg of gas in cylinders from the company’s storage area and lorries.
Crying foul over the incident, the company’s managing director Chin Kam Hoe claimed that eight officers told them the amount of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders the had in storage and three lorries exceeded the weight allowed under the company’s wholesale licence of 4,500kg.
