Hydroelectric dam not affected by climate change, study reveals

KUCHING: A joint study between Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) and Sarawak Energy has revealed that climate change would not affect Batang Ai’s hydroelectric plant reservoir inflows.

The research article, “Potential Impact of Climate Change on Inflows to the Batang Ai Reservoir, Malaysia”, concluded that the dam would not be affected by potential changes in weather pattern due to climate change.
