Plan for more air-quality stations

Projects costing RM150mil and RM100mil for Kuching and Sibu respectively, will help mitigate water flow in both cities.

KUCHING: Seven additional air-quality monitoring stations using the PM2.5 system will be built across the state.

Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the stations, to detect air quality and pollution level affecting the sea and rivers, would compliment 53 monitoring stations throughout the country that are currently being upgraded from the PM10 system.
