COLOURFUL kolams and sugar canes greeted visitors to the state Ponggal celebration at the Sri Annai Thropathi Amman Temple in Jalan Victoria, Nibong Tebal.

Members of the Malaysia Hindu Sangam (MHS) (Penang) branch and 20 other organisations came dressed in their bright colourful tradition attire and immediately got down to work drawing the colourful kolams and putting up sugar cane stalks.
