Thaipusam collections will be made public, says chairman

Devotees have the right to know how much is raised, says Dr Ramasamy.

THE Penang Hindu Endowment Board will seek the help of civil servants to count the cash and other donations received from devotees during Thaipusam.

Its chairman Dr P. Ramasamy said the cash and valuables dropped in the undiyal (donation boxes) at the Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Hilltop Temple and those donated to the golden chariot would be counted about a week after the festival.
