JOHOR BARU: An empty plot of land around a basketball court in Permas Jaya here was given a facelift when hundreds of trees were planted in the area in an effort to save the environment.

The once barren 1.214ha open area at Laman Muafakat Permas here had some 600 trees of various species planted in the Tree for A Tree programme, a collaboration between Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and the Johor Baru City Council (MBJB).
