Dhoby shops still favoured by some to handle their laundry

JOHOR BARU: While the number of coin-operated laundry services in the city have been mushrooming significantly, many still prefer to let traditional laundry shops, commonly known as dhoby shops, handle their clothes.

Laundry shop owner May Chee, 50, said her business has been steady even with the increase in coin-operated laundromats in the area, as traditional laundry operators still appealed to a particular market segment.
