Highland folk win awards for green proposals

KUCHING: Five participants of a rural strategic entrepreneurship programme in the Bario highlands have won Best Business Proposal awards after completing the programme this month.

Caleena Lallang Sakai, Jerome Jiak Ipa, Agan Lio Apoi, Victor Lian Munan and Jeanette Ulun received RM2,500 each from the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre Social Entrepreneurship (MaGIC SE). Caleena also bagged the Best Social Entrepreneur Effort and will be mentored by MaGIC SE.
