THE organic vegetable bed planted by the students of SMK Convent Butterworth, Penang, is getting more fertile while the kids are away on their school holidays, thanks to a process of Mother Nature called nitrogen fixation.
Before they left at the end of the school year, the students scattered seeds of black sesame, cowpea, fenugreek, mustard and mungbean plants on the patch.
