Traders uneasy with addicts gathering at Central Market

THE goodwill of several non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in distributing food to the homeless at the Central Market in Ipoh have, in turn, attracted drug addicts to gather there.

Ipoh Deputy OCPD (Operations) Superintendent Abdul Rani Alias said the drug addicts were taking advantage of the free food and it became a “temptation” for them to lurk around the area.
