Volunteers help clean up orang asli village


Kampung Pasir Salam villagers and volunteers cleaning up the area which was strewn with rubbish.

JOHOR BARU: For more than 10 years, villagers of Kampung Pasir Salam have been either burning their rubbish or dumping it into the river and nearby oil palm plantation as no one collects their waste.

Information technology, purchasing and store manager Goh Wei Hua, 45, who highlighted this, said he first visited the remote orang asli fishing village near Sungai Tiram during a Hari Raya open house.
