THE rigour of having to travel thrice a week between his Sungai Petani hometown in Kedah and Penang by public transport for three years to earn a degree has paid off for S. Persad.
Not only did he graduate with an accounting and finance degree from University of Greenwich whose programme was run by SEGi College Penang in George Town, he was also one of the 12 top students in his batch.
