RM200,000 spent on tackling illegal dumping in Sibu

KUCHING: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) has spent over RM200,000 and issued 6,498 summonses in the past three years to tackle illegal dumping and littering in Sibu.

Local Government Assistant Minister Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil said the council had also conducted regular civic education awareness on cleanliness, which involved schools and non-governmental organisations, to eliminate the problem.
