THE use of the seat belt and drivers’ attitude were among the topics brought up at a discussion on road safety titled Pusara di Jalan Raya: Sampai Bila? (Deaths on the Road: Until When?).

“When worn properly, a seat belt should come into contact with the shoulder. A child should be strapped into a child safety seat when travelling in the car, until he or she is tall enough to wear a seat belt,” said Safe Kids Malaysia executive director Asso Prof Dr Kulanthayan KC Mani.
