Police warn online scams on the rise

THE POLICE have conducted numerous awareness campaigns and fairs to educate the public about online scams, but people are still being deceived and the number of cases has also risen.

According to State Police Chief Comm Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Hanafi, from January to July last year, there were 127 Internet cheating cases, and 16 so-called Macau and 69 African scams.
