THE Kedah state government has been urged to immediately stop the destruction of forests and logging activities in the state to protect its natural resources and ensure sufficient water supply.

It is learnt that 342,431ha of forest land in Kedah was depleting at an alarming rate and if not curbed, it would lead to a more precarious situation.
