MIRI: Winds along the coastal shores of northern Sarawak have become unusually ferocious, particularly in parts of Bintulu division of late.
Tanjung Batu assemblyman Chiew Ching Sing believes the cutting down of trees and clearing vast tracts of coastal regions have contributed to this worrying condition.
