Left out of Petaling Jaya’s rapid growth

Rundown: Petaling Jaya Old Town, an exciting place some 40 years ago, is now badly in need of change.

PETALING Jaya Old Town was once a go-to place and a hub of activity some 40 to 50 years ago, but now it is dilapidated and in dire need of a facelift.

What was once a satellite town in the early 1950s with only about 800 houses along Jalan 1 (Jalan Templer) and Jalan 2 (Jalan Othman), the place has since grown and matured.
