HUNDREDS of devotees gathered at the Ti-Ratana Buddhist Society NBC at Jalan Meru in north Klang to pay homage to Lord Buddha on his birthday and to celebrate his attainment of enlightenment as well as to commemorate his death.

Monks led by Buddhist Chief Priest of Malaysia Venerable Datuk K. Sri Dhammaratana chanted prayers and several monks handed out colourful strings to devotees to be tied on their wrists and those present were blessed with holy water.
