Banking on unconventional building method

SCIB will remain focus in the manufacturing of spun piles, pipes, beams and IBS components.

KUCHING: The construction industry is increasing the usage of prefabricated industrialised building system (IBS) components in their projects and this has boosted the sales of manufacturer Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB).

According to chairman Tan Sri Hamid Bugo, SCIB group recorded a 10% jump in sales of IBS components to 20,874 tonnes last year,from 18,977 tonnes in 2014.
