Ayub: No increase in food prices when polystyrene containers banned

State Health and Environment committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said at the same time, food and restaurant operators would not face losses when they start switching to biodegradable food containers.

“We want a win-win situation for all as it is a delicate issue but banning polystyrene is a good move as the material is bad for the environment,’’ he said, hoping traders and consumers would support the proposed ban.
