Guides show off their massive hand-made gateway

WHOEVER said girls cannot do woodwork? A group of 25 Girl Guides from SMK Convent Green Lane in Penang proved that wrong when they created a camp gateway of mangrove tree logs and bamboo lashed with jute rope.

This huge structure standing 7m tall and 9m wide greeted 550 Guides and Scouts from Perak, Kedah and Penang at their seventh campfire and third gathering on Saturday.
