Jalan Kem has been left to rot for the last few years

From the back lanes off Jalan Kem in Port Klang garbage could be seen strewn on an open piece of land.

OLD mattresses, broken furniture, torn sofas and worn-out tyres are being dumped inside dilapidated buildings that have been partially razed off Jalan Kem in Port Klang.

Worse still, scavengers have carried domestic garbage from neighbouring residential areas and left it in the ramshackle colonial buildings along the main thoroughfare where some of the trash floats in stagnant water.
