Little India gets to keep its name

THE KLANG Municipal Council (MPK) has scrapped the idea to rename Little India in south Klang to Kelana Square after local businessmen argued that the name change was a callous disregard for the local traders and residents.

MPK president Datuk Mohamad Yasid Bidin told StarMetro that he had “scrapped the idea to rename Little India as we respect the wishes and wisdom of the local traders”.
