KOTA KINABALU: Absenteeism among schoolchildren should be tackled wisely and promptly, said Sabah Education Department director Datuk Jame Alip.
Jame said new approaches are needed as pupils who regularly miss classes are often involved in social ills like loafing, stealing and smoking.
