CUEPACS has asked the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) to end its complacent attitude and ban the use of rat poison outside wet markets as it can have bad health effects on council workers and the public.
Cuepacs president Datuk Azih Muda said workers from the council’s Health and Environment Department were constantly being exposed to high-risk duties and that continuous exposure to rat poison could cause internal injuries or even death.
