NINETEEN new fire and rescue stations will be built nationwide using the fast-track method this year said Fire and Rescue Department director general Datuk Wan Mohd Nor Ibrahim during a working visit to Ipoh last Friday.

Wan Mohd said, using conventional construction methods, a fire station could cost between RM7mil and RM8mil to build, however, with the fast-track method, eight fire stations could be built for the same amount of money.
