CULTURAL practices of the Indian community, mostly Hindus, are being studied by the Selangor government as it believes such customs can help reduce the impact of the Aedes mosquito.

State Health, Welfare, Women’s Development and Family chairman Dr Daroyah Alwi said the Indian customs embraced nature by using chemical-free mosquito repellents to help free the home from the buzzing threat.
