Group educate settlers on protection from bauxite pollution


KUANTAN: Following the bauxite mining controversy, the Sultan Ahmad Shah Environment Trust (Saset) has gone down to Felda Bukit Kuantan to educate settlers on the importance of protecting themselves from bauxite pollution.

As an initiative by its CEO Tengku Arif Temenggong Pahang Tengku Fahd Mu’adzam Sultan Ahmad Shah, the organisation also mobilised volunteers to clean up the nearby Sungai Longkang with the help of the Irrigation and Drainage Department and Kuantan Municipal Council.
