Malacca Umno indicates opening its membership to Peranakan Chinese Association of Malaysia

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron said he has asked PCAM to expedite its application for bumiputra status from the Federal Government and that he will work on other mechanisms to absorb them as Umno members.

“I have expressed my views to PCAM chairman Ronald Gan recently and will also discuss with the party secretary-general on accepting the Chinese Peranakan.
