A SUPERIOR food court that offers some of the finest dishes of local and international cuisine within the confines of an elegantly-designed environment sums up the newly-opened Taste Enclave in Sunway Pyramid Hotel.

The food atrium, which comprises 10 stalls, three mini restaurants and a single drink bar within the premises of a hotel, is a unique dining concept introduced by Grandeur Gourmet chief executive officer Willie Tay.

“The idea behind Taste Enclave is to provide a different type of dining experience for hotel guests and the public,” Tay said.

He added that with a concept of quality above quantity, the company had carefully hand-picked the finest food ambassadors to be a part of the unique establishment.

Aside from this, the food atrium is conveniently connected to the Sunway Pyramid shopping centre, thus placing it at a prime location.

“Grandeur Gourmet is proud and grateful to be a part of this widely-celebrated mall which carries a legacy of almost two decades,” Tay said.

The interior of Taste Enclave, which was inspired by nature, features lush foliage and drapes of greenery on its walls and ceiling.

This is coupled with earthy furniture designs that collectively provide a sense of tranquility and comfort.

Tay, who hails from Singapore, has 18 years worth of experience in the food and beverage industry and specialises in food court management.

Apart from Malaysia, he has successfully set up food chains in Shanghai and Singapore.

Taste Enclave Sunway Pyramid is Tay’s third food atrium in Malaysia after Avenue K and Pavilion KL in Kuala Lumpur.

Sunway Group Property Investment managing director Datuk Ngeow Voon Yean said he and his team thought it was a refreshing idea to outsource their food atrium.

Customers who visit Taste Enclave will be able to feast on international cuisines that hail from Italy, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.

Among the local specialities are Kunyit Nasi Lemak, Nasi Ayam JJ and claypot chicken rice experts, New Heun Kee.

Customers can purchase drinks and desserts from Big Tap and Fruit Juice bar.

The food atrium is able to seat up to 600 diners and has a private room that can seat up to 10 diners for those who opt for an intimate dining experience.

Present at the grand opening of the food atrium in Sunway Pyramid Hotel was Sunway Group founder and chairman Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, Sunway Group deputy chairman Tan Sri Razman M. Hashim, Sunway Shopping Malls and Theme Parks chief executive officer H.C. Chan and Grandeur Gourmet chairman V. Esvaran.
