Track your fitness like a fashionista

The New York City-based designer Tory Burch is the latest to take on the luxury wearables market with a fun collaboration with the fitness tracking firm Fitbit.

Announced earlier this year, Tory Burch has revealed the final fruits of her collaboration with Fitbit on a new designer approach to wearable fitness trackers.

The three models, which can be ordered via and, are designed to accomodate the Fitbit Flex, which is sold separately from the luxury accessories. The line-up includes silicone printed bracelets in a choice of blue or pink, a brass fret pendant necklace and a brass hinged bracelet.

The Flex tracks your steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, active minutes and sleep. It can be used with both iOS and Android devices and syncs wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0.

It’s the latest attempt to unite fashion and function in a rapidly growing wearable technology market. Apple is reportedly readying its long-rumoured iWatch (which has seen the company hire former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts and former Yves Saint Laurent boss Paul Deneve), while Barneys recently announced that it would be teaming up with Opening Ceremony, Intel and the Council of Fashion Designers of America on a new smart bracelet out later this year. — AFP Relaxnews
