The Autumn/Winter collection from Dude & The Duchess is hip and softly chic.
The unique designs that Dude & The Duchess is introducing for Autumn/Winter takes inspiration from three rather random and disparate elements: thunderstorms, stallions and Greek gods. That said, the pieces in the collection complement each other rather well. They present a cohesive idea of what modern chicness is really about, while existing as easy-to-wear separates that can be mixed and matched with ease.
This season also welcomes Malaysian-born, Paris-based designer Jonathan Liang as the creative director for Dude & The Duchess. Liang reportedly spearheaded the creation of the brand’s new premium line with extended menswear options. It features lush materials like satin and velvet, which are said to mimic the textural vibes of horsehair. Silk organza and snake-embossed satin, along with iridescent glass-fibre knit and honeycomb tweed, also feature heavily.
A variety of silhouettes can be seen in the premium line too. Fit-to-flare fits, cropped tops and asymmetrical cuts will definitely create major moments for every woman (or man) looking for fashion-forward looks with luxurious fabrics. Details that are reminiscent of a lightning slash can be widely seen throughout the collection. Colours of navy, black, white and mint give off a sombre vibe, but at the same time remains to be powerfully cool.
In the other ready-to-wear lines from Dude & The Duchess, inspiration from mythology and the Greek gods colour the season with dark carbon, port plum and midnight blue. These are in addition to other muted shades like light-toned bone white and marbled cream. As classical forms become signature silhouettes, boxy shapes and dropped shoulders update the looks with distinctive details like asymmetric cuts, exposed zippers, pleats and neckline details.
