The season's collection portray durability and strength in their structure, as well as versatility in design.
Braun Büffel presents a contemporary Spring/Summer 2014 collection of bags made for city slickers.
Great architectural work over years would surpass its ornamental value to prove its functionality and timelessness. That’s the thought that German brand Braun Büffel reportedly drew from for its latest collection. Braun Büffel’s new range of leather bags, totes and clutches, shoulder bags and messenger bags are all versatile accessories that anyone can appreciate – fashionista, stylista, or neither.
Women can look to the Intense range, where each design features three-dimensional geometric detailing on all sides, harking the idea of modern day urban structures. Meanwhile, Dolce is inspired by a "hip lifestyle" where petite bags are created for city dwellers, and are perfect for the office and for after hours.
Looking for something prettier? Try the Meady range. Here, "feminine colours" like coral, cream and purple compliment the energy that every city girl should have. Other attractive ranges include Arcis, Bodice and Angle. Arcis highlights embellishments like lace and cut-outs, while Bodice employs side detailing reminiscent of medieval art, and Angle includes design facets of geometric art.
Men aren't left out. Braun Büffel's Starck range introduces a "masculine colour palette" of caramels, blues and greys to a fashion-forward selection of document, tote, postman and clutch bags. Meanwhile, Breur transforms the idea of a mid-'70s and '80s groovy retro print into a sophisticated creation. The smooth nappa leather is embossed with clean, crisp lines to create a masculine textured effect on the bag's surface.
Lastly, there's Le, a men's range that brings the woods to a cityscape. Made from soft calf leather with fine horsehair embossing, each style combines a tactile touch with leather trimming for ruggedness.
All these were unveiled at the Braun Büffel Spring/Summer 2014 fashion show in Suria KLCC recently. During the event, D’Guild members enjoyed a discount on their purchases, in addition to other benefits like birthday gifts and sale previews that the brand’s membership offers. There were also two mobile leather centres set up in-store that day, where leather craftsmen polished for free any Braun Büffel product brought in by the guests.
Braun Büffel is distributed in Asia-Pacific by Lianbee-Jeco, and the Spring/Summer 2014 collection is now available in stores.
