Avert disaster of mismatched nails and cocktails with Seagram’s and Essie. Yes, this is for real.
In a bid to target a female market, a wine cooler brand has tapped popular nail polish brand Essie to create original nail art so that women will never have to face the shame of drinking cocktails with mismatched nails, ever again.
Seagram’s Escapes has teamed up with Essie’s lead nail designer Rita Remark to produce nail art tutorials inspired by the colour palette of its summer cooler series, because, well, there is no worse fashion faux pas than to drink cocktails with mismatched nails.
For Seagram’s Escapes’ Watermelon Splash flavour, Remark uses the colours of the classic summer picnic fruit to create striped nails, also evocative of a classic polo shirt.
Along with step-by-step tutorials, the manicures are accompanied by a cocktail recipe that features the cooler.
Other ways alcohol brands try to seduce women? Clos du Bois Winery in California teamed up with retailer Banana Republic in 2011 to create special holiday edition bottles emblazoned with chic cocktail dresses, while other winemakers try to appeal to female tipplers with bottles named Strut, Girls’ Night Out and Little Black Dress.
