The singer’s ‘pale complexion with deep, dark lips’ look is set to become a top trend.
Grammy Award-winning pop singer Lorde has collaborated with cosmetics brand MAC to create a new capsule collection, no doubt with plenty of her trademark dark lipstick.
Aged just 17, the New Zealand-born star has already had a stellar year, taking home both song of the year and best pop solo performance for her song Royals at the Grammy Awards and international female solo artist at the Brit Awards.
Now she’s got an exciting makeup collaboration lined up with one of the biggest names in cosmetics.
“Look for pop’s coolest ingenue, Lorde, as she collaborates with MAC Online and in stores this summer,” announced the brand on its Facebook page. Lorde explained her excitement: “I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick (Snob) at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends!
"MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.”
The singer has already been working with MAC senior artist Amber Dreadon on her own look for some time now. “One of the great things about Lorde is that she is accessible and relatable to people her own age; her look and style are a testament to just that,” explained Dreadon.
