ONE of the biggest stories in pop music happened in Malaysia last weekend when American singer Ke$ha arrived in Kuala Lumpur to discover that her concert at Stadium Negara had been cancelled. The Foreign Artists’ Film Screening and Performance central agency (Puspal) prevented the show from happening because the board thought that the provocative pop star’s performances “touched on religious sensitivities and Malaysian values.”
