People with deep pockets can spend lavishly on an extravagant drinking tour.
The world’s most expensive and outrageously extravagant drinking tour, billed at US$1.27mil (RM4.08mil) and created for serious oenophiles and spirits aficionados, includes a glass of champagne from a collection worth half a million dollars – and a diamond.
Dubbed the Ultimate Drink Connoisseurs’ Holiday, the tour takes guests on an around-the-world trip centred on some of the rarest beers, spirits, cocktails and wines in the world, including the Armand de Brignac Dynastie, a champagne collection worth almost US$556,000 (RM1.8mil).
The Winston Cocktail, which holds the Guinness World Record for being the most expensive in the world, is also on the itinerary.
The elixir, which was appraised as being worth US$12,970 (RM41,669) when it was admitted into the canon of records last year, is made with a shot of 1858 Croizet cognac worth US$166,800 (RM535,762).
And when sipping on their US$10,000 (RM32,120) martini at the Algonquin Hotel in New York, guests may want to make sure they don’t swallow the single piece of ice hiding behind their olive – a diamond from in-house jeweller Bader & Garmin.
The itinerary, created by UK-based Holidaysplease, also takes guests behind the scenes of the Dalmore distillery in Scotland and the Grey Goose factory in Cognac, France.
Here’s a selection of some of the drinks on the menu:
