IS there a need for the international Record Store Day (RSD) celebrations in Malaysia? This year’s RSD, the eighth edition, happens today. It promises much-coveted limited edition RSD vinyl releases alongside cassettes, books, fanzines and CDs for music lovers. The idea behind the RSD initiative is to get (or more accurately, to entice) the masses – young and old – back into participating independent music shops worldwide.
