Portia de Rossi is signed on for a recurring role on Scandal, tweets Ellen DeGeneres.
According to a tweet from her spouse Ellen DeGeneres, actress Portia de Rossi will appear in a recurring role on the fourth season of the hit TV series Scandal, headlined by Kerry Washington.
DeGeneres broke the news of her spouse's upcoming role on Twitter: “So annoying when people brag on twitter & that’s why I’m not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on Scandal. Oops.”
de Rossi, who played no-nonsense attorney Nelle Porter for four years on the legal comedy-drama show Ally McBeal in the 1990s, is also known for her portrayal of Lindsay on the critically-acclaimed TV dramedy Arrested Development, opposite Jason Bateman.
Scandal stars Washington as former White House communications consultant Olivia Pope, who now heads her own PR agency. Pope and her little army spend their days and nights managing political media crises, finding a way out of scandalous Washington DC situations, and protecting her clients from public scandals. Meanwhile, she's also having an affair with the President of the United States.
