Priscilla Patrick (centre) heads the Star Radio Traffic crew.
With 17 years of experience in disseminating traffic info, Priscilla Patrick has brought changes to the radio industry’s traffic reporting.
“In the past, I’ve received constant requests for more traffic reports and ... we heard you. Hence, we now operate seven days a week,” said Star Radio Group’s head of traffic information Priscilla. “On weekdays, there are three reports in an hour during peak times – between 7am and 10am and between 4pm and 8pm, with half hour updates between 10am and 4pm. Most crucially, we now have hourly weekend reports between 10am and 4pm.
“With the advance in technology, we are now able to reach out and engage with more listeners via Twitter, Facebook and podcast.
“During festive seasons, I highly encourage everyone to call us or tweet us, to check the flow of traffic of your route, before you start your journey.”
With the recent collaboration with agencies such as PDRM, Bomba, DBKL and LLM (Malaysian Highway Authorities). The Star Radio traffic crew is committed in disseminating the most frequent, latest and comprehensive traffic reports.
