A new video presents the first footage from David Ayer’s forthcoming war movie, along with commentary from the director and stars.
Producers chose to unveil the first images from Fury during a panel with Wargaming.net during E3 in Los Angeles.
Set in April 1945, during the final days of World War II, the action movie follows the five-man crew of an American tank behind enemy lines. Sergeant Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands his soldiers on a dangerous mission to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
In the video, director David Ayer (Sabotage) states that the film “is really about a family under incredible stress”.
Fury marks a return to the World War II period for Brad Pitt, who played Lieutenant Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. Shia Labeouf (Transformers), Michael Pena (American Hustle) and Scott Eastwood (The Perfect Wave) are among the actors playing the American soldiers at the heart of the movie’s action.
The movie arrives in US theatres on Nov 14, 2014. — AFP Relaxnews
