KJTS wins RM6.6mil contract from Takaful Malaysia


KUALA LUMPUR: KJTS Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary KJ Technical Services Sdn Bhd (KJTSSB) has secured a RM6.6mil contract from Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Bhd (STMKB).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KJTS said the contract is for the replacement works of the chiller system and subsequently the provision of operation and maintenance (O&M) services at Menara Takaful in Kuala Lumpur.

Under the terms of the contract, STMKB shall pay KJTSSB a total of RM3mil for the retrofit works via eight monthly installments and RM3.6mil that shall be paid at the rate of RM30,000 per month for the O&M services.

KJTS said the retrofit works commenced on March 1 and are expected to be completed on Oct 31, 2024.

Meanwhile, the O&M services shall commence on Nov 1, 2024, and are expected to be completed on Oct 31, 2034.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of KJTS until the expiration of the contract.
