Pintaras wins RM170mil piling contracts


KUALA LUMPUR: Pintaras Jaya Bhd has secured eight bored piling contracts worth RM170mil in Singapore.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Pintaras said its wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore, Pintary International Pte Ltd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pintary Foundations Pte Ltd won the eight new contracts.

“These projects have already commenced work or will commence by March 2024 with contract periods ranging from three to 15 months,” Pintaras said.

The group expects the contracts to contribute positively to its FY2024 earnings.

Pintaras posted a net loss of RM5.36mil in the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2023 (2Q24) against a net profit of RM1.76mil posted a year ago.

Its revenue fell 20.3% to RM61.6mil from RM77.2mil previously.

In the first six months to Dec 31, it posted a net loss of RM4.2mil on revenue of RM131.9mil.
