Samchem earnings up on higher ASPs

Chief executive officer Ng Thin Poh said Samchem started the year on a strong footing, as outlook and optimism continue to recover with the re-opening of economic sectors.

KUALA LUMPUR: Samchem Holdings Bhd’s net profit for its first quarter ended March 31, 2022 rose to RM19.59mil from RM18.95mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM364.51mil from RM330.70mil.

The chemicals and lubrication distribution firm said the improved earnings were due to an increase in average selling prices (ASPs) during the quarter.
