Chin Teck’s net profit soars on higher revenue


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Chin Teck said the higher revenue was mainly due to the significant increase in the average selling prices of fresh fruit bunches (FFB), crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel (PK)

PETALING JAYA: Chin Teck Plantations Bhd’s net profit doubled to RM15.8mil for the first quarter ended Nov 30,2020, from RM7.8mil in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

During the quarter in review, the plantation company’s revenue increased 36.6% to RM45.4mil from RM33.2mil in the previous corresponding period, while earnings per share jumped to 17.26 sen from 8.55 sen previously.
