Short selling ban lifted

THE Securities Commission and Bursa Malaysia will lift the nine-month ban on regulated short selling on Jan 1, the capital market regulators said in a joint statement.

However, the ban on intra-day short selling, which is due to expire on Dec 31, will be extended to Feb 28,2021.
