Hygiene care firm RGT’s profits more than double


According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, the higher net profit was due to a 124% year-on-year increase in revenue to RM41.76mil as well as better operating efficiencies and scale, backed by a surge in demand for hygiene care products such as soap and sanitiser dispensers, which are widely used to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases.

PETALING JAYA: Hygiene care and air care products provider RGT Bhd posted a 252% increase in net profit to RM4.26mil for the first quarter ended Sept 30, compared with the same quarter last year.

According to a Bursa Malaysia filing, the higher net profit was due to a 124% year-on-year increase in revenue to RM41.76mil as well as better operating efficiencies and scale, backed by a surge in demand for hygiene care products such as soap and sanitiser dispensers, which are widely used to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases.
